Last Saturday night, October 20, at the 75th Anniversary banquet of the Hull-Volant Social and Athletic Association, the newly formed Hull-Volant Foundation has handed out a cheque in the amount of 3 000$ to the Auberge du Cœur Héberge-Ados.

In 1932, the founders of the Hull-Volant had said that the raison d’être of the Association was to work in concert to counter juvenile delinquency. That is why for 75 years they have been encouraging thousands of youths to play in their preferred sport.

In 2007, to perpetuate this objective and on the occasion of its 75th Anniversary, the Board of the Hull-Volant created the Hull-Volant Foundation of the Outaouais, establishing that the primary mission of the foundation, just like the one established by the first founders of the Hull-Volant, would be countering juvenile delinquency.

During the anniversary banquet, in front of more than 400 guests present, Mr. Richard Murray, president of the Board of Administration of the new Hull-Volant Foundation, has presented a cheque in the amount of 3 000$ to Mrs Stéphanie Lepage, general manager of Héberge-Ados.

The Héberge-Ados house, a member of the Auberges du Cœur networks, is located in Gatineau and looks after youths of 13 to 17 years old, offering shelter for up to three months. The intervenors then work at finding solutions with the youth’s problematic situation with the hopes of countering delinquency.
